Advertising history

As far back as the 18th century, small posters were being used to publicize events and forthcoming attractions, from fairs and circuses to more cultural attractions such as plays and concerts. With the creation and development of brands in Victorian times, printing services for advertising took on new impetus. Large posters began to be used by manufacturers of every imaginable type of household goods to create brand awareness and promote sales.

In the early 19th century when advances in printing technology made it possible to create huge composite images made up of poster sized prints, .advertising billboards made an appearance.  Over the course of the last hundred years or so, the demand for printing services for advertising has escalated and shows no sign of diminishing. Outdoor advertising on billboards, hoardings, posters and banners has proved to be one of the most effective forms of sales promotion and is still widely employed in both urban and rural areas all over the world.
